Why isn’t my data syncing between OpenSolar and HubSpot?

If Saular isn’t syncing correctly, follow these steps to fix the most common problems.
Common Issues & Fixes
1. Contacts not syncing
Symptom: New OpenSolar customers don’t appear in HubSpot.
Cause: Expired token or missing permission.
Fix: Reconnect Saular under HubSpot → Settings → Connected Apps → Saular → Reconnect.
2. Deals not updating
Symptom: Deal details differ from OpenSolar projects.
Cause: Mapping delay or custom field mismatch.
Fix: Check mapping settings and allow a few minutes for updates.
3. Duplicate contacts appearing
Symptom: Multiple contacts for the same person.
Cause: Mismatched emails between platforms.
Fix: Standardize email addresses and merge duplicates in HubSpot.
4. Integration disconnected
Symptom: Saular no longer listed under connected apps.
Cause: Admin removed access.
Fix: Reinstall the app and re-authorize permissions.
5. Nothing syncing after install
Symptom: No new data visible in HubSpot.
Cause: No trigger event initiated.
Fix: Create a test project in OpenSolar to start sync.
