Why aren’t notes being created in my HubSpot workflow?

If your notes aren’t showing up after a workflow runs, check the common causes below before contacting support.

Common issues and fixes

  • Issue: Workflow didn’t enroll any records.
    Fix: Review your enrollment triggers and test with a record that meets them.

  • Issue: Action skipped due to conditions.
    Fix: Ensure the “Create Notes” action is placed in a branch that always runs.

  • Issue: Missing permissions or disconnected app.
    Fix: Reconnect the app under Settings → Connected Apps.

  • Issue: Token or field not available.
    Fix: Make sure your object supports that personalization token.

  • Issue: Workflow not published.
    Fix: Ensure the workflow is turned ON.
